A Little About Me

Hi! My name is Katie Kordesh, and I’m an LA-based picture book author-illustrator and graphic novelist. Whether I’m painting traditionally with watercolors or drawing digitally on my tablet, I strive to make books that make kids laugh, provide a sense of comfort, and transport them to other worlds.

So far, I have published two books and have three more scheduled for 2026 and 2027 with Penguin Random House and Harper Alley. My most recent book, Enola’s Best Friend, was selected to be a part of Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library and will be distributed to 800,000 children across the United States. It’s about a little girl who befriends a hotdog.

Before illustrating books, I was a Social Media Illustrator at the NFL. During my three-year tenure, my work was displayed on the roof of Sofi-Stadium, made into banners at the Pro Bowl, turned into trading cards, and shared across all social media platforms, garnering millions of views. I also won an Emmy.

Aside from books, I also write a blog-style newsletter called Diary of an Illustrator. There, I share juicy behind-the-scene bits about the trials and tribulations of life as a working artist. I’m also on Instagram. Come say hi!
